Why we use SIPL
Super Intense Pulsed Light (SIPL) focuses on the melanin in the hair shaft heating the hair follicle and destroying it. "Laser" technology can use high temperatures to vapourise the hair shaft. LaserCool technology uses lower temperatures and longer pulses to destroy the whole hair follicle. This is a safer procedure and results in a more effective permanent hair reduction. The SIPL system used at Lasercool is also effective on dark skin.
The Process
Light is pulsed over the treatment area which has been pre-shaved. The light is absorbed by dark pigment in treated hair while a cooling system protects the skin.
Number of Treatments
Generally, four to eight treatments are required at four to six-week intervals. Your consultant will develop a program that is suited to your individual needs that take into account the colour of your hair and skin and hair density.
